"In a world where information flows endlessly, critical thinking and media literacy are the compasses that guide us in the search for truth."Welcome, dear readers! In the information age in which we live, critical thinking and media literacy have become indispensable skills. In this publication, we will explore the fascinating topic of Critical Thinking and Media Literacy, breaking down its meaning and providing practical examples to understand how we can effectively navigate the vast world of information. Get ready to develop skills that will help you discern truth from falsehood!
Critical thinking is the ability to analyze, evaluate and question information objectively and thoughtfully. It involves going beyond the surface and examining the arguments, evidence and assumptions that support a claim or point of view. By developing critical thinking, we become better able to form informed judgments and make informed decisions.
Analyzing SourcesImagine you find yourself reading an online article about a current issue. Instead of accepting the information at face value, critical thinking leads you to consider the credibility and potential bias of the source. You ask yourself who wrote the article, whether they have expertise on the topic, and whether there is a possible hidden agenda behind the content. By doing so, you can more accurately assess the reliability of the information presented.
Evaluating argumentsAnother key aspect of critical thinking is the ability to evaluate arguments. In situations where different points of view are presented on an issue, critical thinking allows you to analyze the logic and evidence provided to support each position. By doing so, you can form a more informed opinion and resist the effect of persuasive but unsound arguments.
What is Media Literacy?Media literacy refers to the ability to understand, evaluate and effectively use the media. It involves developing skills to interpret and analyze various media formats, such as news, advertisements, social media content, and online videos. Media literacy empowers us to be conscious and critical media consumers.
Today, fake news is a common challenge. Media literacy helps us identify red flags, such as unreliable sources, lack of corroboration and sensational headlines. By verifying information and consulting multiple sources, we can make more informed decisions and avoid the spread of false information.
Social media content evaluationSocial networks have transformed the way we connect and interact with information. Media literacy allows us to critically evaluate the content we encounter on social platforms. Asking ourselves about the source, purpose and context of content helps us avoid sharing misleading information and foster a more informed and respectful conversation
Conclusion: By your favorite writer!
In a world inundated with information, developing critical thinking and media literacy has become essential. By enhancing these skills, we empower ourselves to discern veracity, evaluate arguments, and effectively navigate the vast ocean of information. Critical thinking and media literacy make us informed and aware citizens, capable of making informed decisions and contributing to a more informed society.
I hope this post has been helpful in understanding Critical Thinking and Media Literacy! Remember, by developing these skills, you become a more conscious and critical consumer of information. Thank you for joining us on this learning journey!

The importance of English in my professional development.
The importance of English in my professional development.
DAY (2)
In an increasingly globalized and connected world, mastering English has become an essential skill for success in my professional development.
In this blog post, I will explore the importance of English and how it can fuel my professional growth.
To make our presentation and explanation I will use my personal learning environment mind map, in which I included everything that studying an English course brings, the benefits, the professional scopes and other explorations that catapult us to a better integral development.
Again, we based ourselves on evidence developed in my English course taught by Professor Diego at SENA.
The following is my mind map which will explain in a personal way what has been expressed above.

One of the important points in learning English is to understand the importance of English.
This allows us to create our own study space based on our needs and ways of learning.
As a way of learning, I use Doulingo, and constantly watching movies in English has helped me with listening to a second language.
I advise you to create your own personal learning environment to set your study goals, times, spaces and resources that you will use for learning a second language!
I hope you found today's post helpful!
With love, Laura.

My personal experience.
My personal experience.
When we enter an English course, it is normal to feel nervous and anxious. I want to tell you about my experience because I know that we can sometimes feel fearful when facing something new.
Welcome to my blogs! These are my experiences studying English in my advertising technology career!
I want to start with the fact that when I saw English in my learning guide I immediately felt disapproval because I was afraid of making mistakes, not understanding the professor or our classmates, being laughed at, or that I would definitely lose all my effort and never be able to reach the goal.
As I went through the evidence I felt more anxious about how complex it looked and how much effort, dedication and understanding it demanded from me.
However, as I went through the process, I realized how important learning English is for my professional career.
I am very grateful to my teacher Diego, who has given us his support and dedication to build our future based on better experiences and to form us as exemplary professionals.
Thanks to SENA for the opportunity to include this subject in our curriculum. English has become essential in the world of work and academia. Learning it will open many doors and allow us to communicate globally.
As we gain confidence in our skills, we notice how English brings us invaluable benefits. We are able to communicate with people from different cultures, access online resources and have international opportunities. We feel fortunate to have this opportunity to learn English and know that it will help us grow both personally and professionally.
Although the learning process can be challenging, each step we take brings us closer to our goal. We are acquiring solid language skills and becoming more comfortable speaking and understanding English.
I'm sure you'll be successful in your own English learning journey!
Thank you for viewing our first online entry!
With much love, Laura.
